Rotary milking parlour civils

  • Commercial

A rotary parlour is only as reliable as the base it runs on.

We design and build rotary milking parlour civils from the ground up: all concrete works, bespoke adaptations to suit your milking routine, underpasses and drainage. We work with all leading parlour manufacturers.

The challenge

A parlour installation runs to a tight window

The manufacturer’s installation team is booked for a date, and the herd still needs milking. The civils have to be complete, accurate and cured before the platform arrives.

We have delivered specialist groundworks across the North West since 2008. We know where these projects go wrong, and we plan for it before work starts.

What we deliver

Rotary milking parlours, done properly

The base

Excavation, circular formwork, reinforcement and the pour, with fixings cast in where the manufacturer specifies.

Bespoke adaptations

Changes to suit the way you milk, built into the concrete rather than added afterwards.

Underpasses and drainage

Underpasses, wash-down and drainage for the parlour and the surrounding yard.

Our process

Site to sign-off

Three steps, whether it is a machine base for a factory or a treatment plant for a farmhouse.

  1. Step 1: Tell us about the project

Call us or send the drawings. If it helps, we will arrange a site visit.

  2. Step 2: A clear price, with the risks identified

We review the ground conditions, access and programme, and raise anything that could add cost later, while it is still inexpensive to resolve.

  3. Step 3: Delivered and signed off

Built to programme by our own team and plant, and handed over with the paperwork that goes with it.

What is at stake

When groundworks goes wrong

  • The installation team arriving to a base that is not ready
  • A platform that does not sit true on its base
  • Wash-down drainage that cannot cope

When it is done right

A base built to the manufacturer’s drawings and ready on the day the installation team arrives.

What affects the price

Every project is priced on its own requirements. These are the factors that make the biggest difference, and we will discuss each one with you before work starts.

  • Parlour size and the manufacturer’s base design
  • Installation inside an existing building
  • Underpasses and bespoke features
  • Drainage for the parlour and yard
