Accreditations, explained

Pre-qualification decides who is invited to tender. Here is every accreditation and registration we hold, what each one is, and what it means for the person carrying out the checks.

Pre-qualification

The schemes buyers check before a contractor can join an approved supplier list.

CHAS

A health and safety assessment of how we run our business and our sites, checked by an outside assessor.

What it means for you

Our health and safety management has already been independently assessed, which shortens your pre-qualification.

Avetta

The supply chain pre-qualification system many large clients use to check contractors before they get on site.

What it means for you

If your organisation manages its supply chain through Avetta, we are already registered.

Working in roads and water

The qualifications that allow us to work in the highway, in chambers and on the water network.

Street Works (SWQR)

Our operatives and supervisors are on the Street Works Qualifications Register, the qualification needed to dig in the public highway.

What it means for you

Sewer connections and openings in the highway are carried out by our own team, not passed to a third party.

Confined Spaces

Our team is trained to work safely in confined spaces such as chambers, manholes and deep excavations.

What it means for you

Connections and chamber work proceed without waiting for a specialist subcontractor.

WRAS

The Water Regulations Advisory Scheme, which covers the fittings and installation of water supply pipework.

What it means for you

Water supply work is done to the regulations the water company checks against.

People and training

Evidence that the people on your site are trained and carded for the work they do.

CITB

The construction industry's training board, through which our training is delivered.

What it means for you

The people on your site are trained to the industry standard, and that training is on record.

CSCS

The card scheme that proves a site operative has the training and qualifications for the job they do.

What it means for you

Our operatives arrive with the cards your site induction requires.

CPCS

The Construction Plant Competence Scheme, the card for plant operators.

What it means for you

Plant on your site is operated by carded, competent operators.

City & Guilds

Recognised trade qualifications.

What it means for you

The skills behind the work are formally qualified.
